Pre-School Classes

- For students from age 4 to 5 years old. (4 years old by 9/1/2016)
- Instruction includes Nursery Rhymes, Singing, and Games (learn Chinese pronunciation through games and songs).

CSL (Chinese as Second Language) Classes
|
- For students 5 years and older from non-Chinese speaking families. (5 years old by 9/1/2016)
- Instruction in both Chinese and English, starting with basic pronunciation.

- CSL - Elementary 1/ E1 (Everyday Chinese 1)

- CSL - Middle School 1/ M1 (Chinese for Youth 1)

Intermediate Classes

- Students are required to attend Computer class about 6 times during the school year to ensure proficiency in Chinese typing before moving on to Advanced Classes.

- Simplified Chinese using Pinyin
- Fifth Grade (Meizhou Huayu Level 5)
- Traditional Chinese using Pinyin

Advanced Classes
|
- Listening and reading comprehension, speaking, Chinese Computer class (4 times during the school year), Chinese Input and SAT Chinese practice test.
- Courses:
- High School class (Integrated Chinese)
- Traditional/Simplified Chinese
- Post AP class (For students who took AP class or 12th grade students)
- Traditional/Simplified Chinese

Credit Classes
|
- For students in 7th grade and above with credit permission from school counselors. Students may start from Credit Class 1.
- 7th grade and above students may take placement test to determine appropriate class. 7th grade students can only advance to Credit 2 if they pass the placement test.
- 4 hours weekly in-class instruction plus off-campus activities. For details, please visit “Credit Class Guidelines”.
- Cultural classes include: calligraphy, papermaking, shadow play, lion dance, press printing, paper cut, Chinese painting, kite-making, Chinese yoyo and dough-sculpture. Students will learn different cultural activities at each Credit Class level.

AP Chinese Class
|
- For students 10th grade and above with placement test score 80 or higher.

- Afternoon class (1:30pm – 5:30pm)

Adult Class
|
- For adult students who appreciate Chinese culture and want to learn Chinese.
- Small class instruction focuses on daily conversation and/or business conversation.

Computer Class
|
- Required for all students enrolled in Intermediate Classes and above.
- Four to six times during the school year
|
Extracurricular Classes
|
- 12:30pm – 1:30pm
- Additional fee is required.
