PTA acts as liaison between students/parents and school/SDCCA. The main purpose of the organization is to support the school’s operation. PTA’s job description includes establishing yard duty schedule, supporting school’s activities and coordinating room parents’ responsibilities. In addition, PTA also holds holiday events such as Moon Festival and Halloween celebration. The most important event PTA hosts is the Chinese New Year Carnival. It is our largest community-building event and fundraiser. At the end of school year, we also host Teacher/staff appreciation banquet to thank them for their work throughout the year. Last but not least, North County Chinese School is a wonderful community because of its extensive parental support and volunteer contribution. We encourage and welcome all parents to help make our school a better environment for our students to learn and grow.
家長會是學生，家長與學校，理事會之間的橋樑。我們最重要的目的就是輔助學校的運作，讓學生們能快樂學習，成長茁壯。家長會的工作除了每週上課時間裡安排家長值勤，支援學校活動需要，巡邏及維護校園安全，並協調各班家長代表責任。此外，也因應節慶，舉辦活動如慶祝中秋節及萬聖節遊行。春節園遊會則是家長會主辦最重要的活動。這項盛大的傳統活動有學生，家長，老師及義工的全力支持，每年都吸引很多中外人士來一起慶祝新年。最後，家長會也在學年結束時主辦謝師宴犒賞老師們一年來的辛苦。我們竭誠希望更多的家長參與家長會的工作，共襄盛舉。
